"The moment I stopped running and turned toward myself — everything changed."
I know what disconnection feels like — even when everything looks fine.
I was adopted and placed on a plane at three months old. Korean-born, Dutch-raised. I was raised by my mother alone after my father died when I was young.
I built a life that looked exactly right from the outside. A career. A family. All the markers of success.
But inside, I was on autopilot. Performing. Not really present.
I began doing my own inner work. Slowly, I started to feel what I had been managing away.
Then I flew back to Korea — alone — to meet the country and the story I had spent years running from.
Standing on that ground, something shifted. I felt it in my body: every experience — the adoption, the loss, the building of a life between worlds — had been preparing me. What once felt like my wound, became my power.
I realized that I am the architect of my own life. That I am worthy — not because of what I built, but simply because I exist.
That knowing, that way of being is what I guide others toward.
